•Welcome to 9th District Federated Garden Club NYS•
Promoting the Culture of Plants, Flowers, and Trees while Championing Civic Beautification and Conservation.
Rooted in Purpose. Grown with Passion.
The 9th District Garden Club is rooted in a deep love for nature and a commitment to education, conservation, and civic pride. As a proud member of the National Garden Clubs, Inc., the Federated Garden Clubs of New York State, Inc., and the Central Atlantic Region of State Garden Clubs, Inc., we bring communities together to celebrate, protect, and beautify the natural world around us—one garden at a time.
Lasdon Public Gardens and Veterans Memorial has been home base to the 9th District since the 1990s. Lasdon is home to our biennial flower show and many of our District meetings and events.
Lasdon Public Gardens is also part of the Westchester County Parks Department. This beautiful setting which is also an arboretum hosts fun and educational family events from the annual plant sale in May to Holidays On The Hill Train Show. See what’s happening at Lasdon by following the link below! See the Volunteer page on the website for ways you can be a part of the Lasdon team.
Thank you to all who helped make our show a success!

Why The 9th District Matters
The 9th District Garden Club is a vibrant community of nature lovers, educators, volunteers, and dreamers. Together, we cultivate more than gardens — we cultivate friendships, purpose, and change.
Did you know?
When communities don’t have garden advocacy:
- Declining pollinator populations and lack of biodiversity
- Neglected public spaces and uninspiring landscapes
- Low community awareness about native plants and conservation
- Missed opportunities for environmental education and civic involvement
- Disconnect between generations and nature
